I know I said that I wasn’t going to write while I am in Boston, but I couldn’t resist this one. I have spent the last several days with my family but this morning I took a little time for myself and went to Quincy Market. It is an upscale shopping area near downtown and the highlight is the actual building named Quincy Market. It was constructed in 1824-26 and is a National Historic Landmark.
You would recognize the names of all the stores around the Market but I don’t think you would know what is inside the Market itself. It is an enormous upscale food court! This is the first time I have had gourmet street food and I loved it! Lunch was a hot lobster roll and cold lemonade. I didn’t know there was a difference between hot and cold lobster rolls but as I found out, there is a big difference. A hot lobster roll is all lobster while a cold one has less lobster, mayonnaise and other salad items. Needless to say, I went for the hot roll! I managed to resist all the other amazing foods .. it really is too bad that we can’t eat everything we want, don’t you think?
My class begins tomorrow. I will check in again after the weekend. I hope you enjoy yours!
